AUSTRALIA
Australia is currently sitting in 4th on the World Cup log, and they have won 3 and lost 2 of their matches. They are priced at 4/1 to win the tournament.
Australia took on the Netherlands on Wednesday in Dehli, where Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Australia lost the wicket of Marsh relatively early with just 28 runs were on the board. A solid partnership between Warner and Smith then stabilised the innings and the Australians looked in control, scoring 399 runs for 8 wickets. 2 Australian centuries were scored, one by Warner who got 104 off 93 and Maxwell who top scored with an incredible 106 runs off 44 balls with a striker rate of 240.91.
The Australian bowlers had no problem putting early pressure on the Netherlands and Australia bowled them out for just 90 runs, winning the match by 309 runs. Star bowler on the day was Adam Zampa who took 4 wickets for just 8 runs in his 3 overs.
NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand are in 3rd spot on the World Cup rankings after winning 4 and losing 1 of their 5 matches. They are 6/1 to win the Cricket World Cup.
New Zealand clashed with India in their last match that took place on Sunday in Dharamsala. India won the toss and chose to field first. New Zealand struggled early, having lost their 2 opening batsmen with only 19 runs were on the board. Thereafter they were able to get a foothold in the match as their batsmen knuckled down leading them to a total of 273 runs all out on the 50 over mark. The top batsman was Daryl Mitchell who scored 130 runs off 127 balls with 5 sixes.
The New Zealand bowling attack then struggled to break India’s opening partnership, that took the batting side above 70 runs, before both wickets fell. For the rest of the game, New Zealand lacked control and India batted to a controlled victory with 4 wickets in hand and 2 overs remaining. The top bowler of the innings was Lockie Ferguson who took 2 wickets for 63 runs in his 8 over spell.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
Since their last meeting in the 2019 World Cup, where Australia won by 86 runs, these sides have met another 4 times with Australia winning all 4 of the matches. The last time they met was in their final match of the 3-game series in Australia in 2022 and Australia won by 25 runs securing a 3-0 series win.
Suggested Bet: David Warner to score 50+ at 14/10
Warner has been in top form in his 2 most recent games, scoring a century in both and he has been profitable to follow. He is a player who can ride a rich run of form and I am staying on the Warner train.
Suggested Bet: Daryl Mitchell – over 0.5 sixes at 11/10
Mitchell has hit a number of sixes in the competition so far and he got 5 in his last match. If he hangs around for a couple of overs I reckon this bet will be banked.
